Forest School & Eco Adventures
We place an importance on outdoor play and learning. We encourage exploration and love to take advantage of our local area. We invite professionals in and explore our local area lots looking for nature and locally home grown foods and flowers. We regularly visit a farm on the Lizard to care for the animals and observe the changes throughout the seasons.
Our aim in visiting the Sunshine Cafe is to connect and make links with the elderly generation in our community. Sharing activities together helps both young and old. The attachments made improves the social, physical and emotional wellbeing of both old and young and we all have fun together.
We visit the chapel and chat with Reverend Fran as often as we can to promote our Christian values and share stories together. We have a planter box in the church grounds which we help to take care of, support fundraising activities and hold our Christmas Nativity in the chapel.
These sessions are open to parents and carers to join us for a fun free music session. The sessions are themed and vary in content. Children get to play different instruments join in and sing along. The session helps to promote communication and speech, listening and concentration skills and self-confidence.
We use RugbyTots to help promote physical outdoor activities that all children can participate in. It is always fun and engaging, sessions are often held in the community park or on the school grounds.
We arrange free community events and visits such as drop-in sessions with a NHS dental nurse – keep up to date with the latest events on our Events Calendar and the YMCA Mullion Facebook page, or call us on 01326 241033.
