Marie Green

Nursery Manager
Brief info

I began my career working with young children in 2004 when my children were young and I became Chairperson of my local toddler group. I completed my NVQ level 3 and became a member of the Sure Start Penwith board representing families in my locality. I have since worked in preschool settings both committee run and private settings and also for Cornwall Council supporting disabled children. I have also worked as a Teaching assistant, taught childcare courses and been an invigilator. I registered as a childminder in June 2011 and provided childcare before and after school. I returned to a private setting and completed my Early Years Professional Teacher Status in 2013.
Previously my work experience has varied from roles in the RAF, West Briton, Shop Manager and Supporting Autistic adults and children.

I enjoy keeping fit and active and attend aerobic classes and a running club each week with friends, sometimes I compete in races. I’m not a fast runner but love being out in our countryside.  I also attend a book club social monthly. I enjoy cycling and swimming with my children and days out exploring the lovely area we live in.

I am always up for challenge especially for charity and have completed tandem skydives, abseils, swims and running races to support worthy causes.
